I tried to upload the same image as avatar here as I tried in my forum. I got this error.

I downloaded the same image from this forum. The file name changed to 5357.jfif

This image seemed to upload fine, but when I hit save, in the upload form, I got this error

I may have stumbled across your problem. When you uploaded the avatar, are you saving the user profile ? This appears to blank it out.
Unable to replicate any of the other errors you get.

That could have been a typical thing for me to do, but not this time. I hit save twice, with the tg user. First in the upload avatar form and then I saved the profile. I tested once again now. There is something strange with that tg user. There was something earlier also. I will have a look.
BUT it dosen't work here, and not with the other test user I have: "tggny". When I use the other users I'm not able to save the profile, because I get the error and it stops. I installed windows 10 on this PC in January. Could it be something missing? As I said, I will test on another PC, when I find one...clown

you shouldn't save the profile after uploading the avatar, I think it causes a problem. However, not able to replicate the error with my test accounts. Your OS (Windows 10) should make no difference, just the browser.

I'm completely stumped I'm afraid. One thing you could try is accessing the forum in a private browser session, does that make any difference?

Error also in incognito modus and also from my husbands Ipad. Can you test users tggny at sporenbiolog.no and Torborg_test at this forum? I will PM you the passwords.

I think I have got to the bottom of the issue, although they were different here than on yours. Just need to do a few more tests

seems to be working ok now both here and on yours. To test I would suggest creating a new user, once the user has successfully added an avatar it then always seems to work, it is on first time of adding that it appeared to be failing

I think we solved it, Huw. Not sure why Øystein, at my forum, got that last error, but when he only hit save once - it worked. I also messed it up (again), testing and saving twice not once. It works now! Thanks smile
