May not be online very much for the next couple of months [:~]

Unfortunately due to yet more health issues I may be out of action for a couple of months. Have now been diagnosed with severe COPD (emphysema) together with a high probability of lung cancer, I have a lung biopsy Tuesday next week which if it confirms the cancer diagnosis I will have to have a thoracotomy to remove one of the lobes in my right lung which will put me out of action for 4-8 weeks.
I have everything crossed for a non cancer diagnosis but chances are fairly slim, Dr's seem pretty sure that biopsy will confirm that it is, they are fairly confident however that surgery will get rid of it with a minimal chance of recurring.

So glad that you tell us, even if it is not good news. I'm very glad to hear that there are good chances to get rid of it all, if it is cancer and you are operated. Lung cancer is often hard to diagnose. Guess you where kind of lucky with that other pain, so that they found it. Good luck

Not surprised about the COPD, it is a family trait, my brother has it and my mom and nan both had it too, so know exactly what to expect and how to live with it. It's the total lack of symptoms that made it a shock. Other family members showed symptoms long before being diagnosed

I still have a slight hope that it isn't, but based on the conversations with the doctors it is a very slim hope, but does look like the early catch is a positive thing at least.

Would have been nice, it was a long shot for us I think, we were missing some very key players, so for me it was not our best 15 unfortunately. I thought Englands performance against the All Blacks was awesome, if they can play like that next week they should easily beat SA
