What are your thoughts on the poll mod.
Personally I do quite like it, but I really don't like the way the database stuff is implemented. If I implement and create a new data layer, what do you think the impact of not being able to upgrade existing Polls ?

I use polls on my forum and they are not as popular as I would like.
Personally I think it's nice having a poll on main screen as it's a quick way to interact with your members.

Is there a poll mod on here?
I've used them a bit as you know Mush, and like them, they make a forum more interesting at times but a foum needs to be fairly lively to make them worthwhile but hopefully a good new forum will help a bit of a foprum comeback smile

I think polls will need to be rolled into the base code rather than a MOD since it needs to interact closely with topics in the back end

Sounds like more hard work for you shy but maybe it'll be more stable that way?

it would be a lot more work to try and make it as a MOD, unlike classic ASP you can't just edit the code when you need to install a mod unless you want to recompile it
