Unfortunately the data centre where the site was hosted suffered storm damage resulting in the loss of several virtual nodes one of which hosted this site.
Although I do take regular backups, there was an issue on my latest backup drive which meant my sql backups were corrupt so had to roll back to an old backup from the end of June.
(note to self, test restoring db backups more regularly
