If you rename the attached file as .xml rather than .txt and upload it to your App_Data folder, then go to Admin|Extras|dbsScripts you will see a new entry for events language strings, if you run that it should fix the missing langauge strings on your forum

Mod applied, but still get the error message in the menu layout.

Strictly speaking it isn't an error message
it just means there is no string in the language database.
To add the missing string, go to Admin|OtherConfig|Language resources
select Menu from the dropdown top left, the click the 'New Resource String' button. in the popup form enter mnuEvents as the ResourceId and whatever you want the label to say in the Text field and Save it.
