getting a bit further, managed to track down the issue to something in the featured image JavaScript erroring and preventing the popover code initialising smile

Still trying to figure out why it doesn't work on the server, files are all identical to my local copy where it works just fine bigsmilegrumpy

Apologies for not answering sooner, I seemed to have missed your post.
No, it doesn't work here on Linux. All I get is a little dialogue box come up with "click to preview last post" with mouse over.
